Miami Minds Interview: Dina Goldentayer, the Queen of Ultra Luxury Miami Real Estate
From Moldova to Maryland, Mynt to Millions, actually, Billions, meet the woman behind Miami Beach’s biggest residential real estate deals.
Dina Goldentayer isn’t just selling homes—she’s selling the most beautiful luxurious homes in Miami. But her journey to the top of Miami’s ultra-luxury real estate world didn’t start on Star Island. It started in Moldova, with a one-way ticket to Baltimore, a detour through law school, and a stint cocktailing at Mynt back when it was the best club in the world (and that’s not up for debate).
Two decades, a few pivots, and over $3 billion in real estate sales (since 2021) later, Dina has become a dominant force in Miami Beach—equal parts strategist, storyteller, and billion dollar baddie. She’s proof that hustle, vision, and good taste (in skincare and square footage) go a long way.
We sat down with the Venetian Islands’ finest to talk about marketing as her art form, why she saves coffee for the weekends, and what it really takes to build a mega real estate business while actually enjoying life and raising a family.

What is your name and what do you do?
My name is Dina Goldentayer and I’m an ultra-luxury real estate specialist.
How long have you lived in Miami?
I’ve been in Miami Beach for 22 years.
Where do you live?
I live in the Venetian Islands.
What’s your morning routine?
My morning routine starts with a little bit of meditation, nothing crazy. I just express gratitude and set my intention for the day. Lately, I've stepped up my skincare routine and I'm doing some gua sha and ice roller-ing. I drink hot water with lemon and I just started taking two tablespoons of extra filtered olive oil. That's a new thing. Then I go downstairs and I hang with my kids before they go off to camp or school in the school year. Sometimes we bring the kids to school, and sometimes, we don't - someone else in the family drives them. The school is 40 minutes away, so when I can, I can. And then I start my day. I pick up the phone, I start corresponding with my team, getting emails out, organizing, checking in, you know, doing my job.
How do you take your coffee?
I mostly only drink coffee on the weekends.
It's like a nice treat for me. During the week, I drink matcha and tea. Coffee makes me a little crazy and intense, and I don't really need any more of that.
If I had a bad night's sleep, I'll drink a coffee.
It's not like I have anything against it, but I just don't like being addicted to any substance.
What is a hidden gem in Miami that more people should know about?
Caviar Russe, it's my husband's restaurant. They have one in Miami in the Four Seasons, and then their flagship is in Manhattan on Madison Avenue.
It's his family's business; the restaurant in Manhattan has been there for about 25 years.
What do you love the most about Miami?
When I think of Miami, I mostly think about Miami Beach because I've only ever lived in Miami Beach. So I always make the distinction between Miami and the Beach. I love the small town mentality. How you can go to Pura Vida and sit there for 45 minutes and everyone comes to say hi. Sometimes we go as a team to have our meetings because you can bump into half the neighborhood there. And I do love that Miami Beach is so compact, everything's close, you feel that you know everyone.
So how do you share your creativity?
Through my marketing. It’s really my only artistic outlet.
What personal experience has shaped your creative journey the most?
My creative side, I never really got to explore it, I was never a good artist. I couldn't draw, I didn't dance, I didn't sing. So for me, marketing became the one place where my creativity could flow. I'm good at it. I enjoy it. And it's my thing to capture the aesthetic of the moment. If think something is beautiful and interesting, others likely will agree.
What's one piece of advice you give your younger self?
I knew that question was coming. I would tell my younger self, don't change anything. Just keep doing what you're doing. It will all work out.
How do you balance like this, ultra glamorous existence with, maintaining being like a good mother, and a good wife?
I don't think that's the right way to look at it. And I get this question all the time, and I think it's very common, like, how do you do it? You know, some mornings I get 30 minutes with my kids. Some mornings an hour, some mornings I get only a few minutes. I do the night time routine almost religiously. It's a rare occasion that I'm not home to put my kids to bed. So that is important, but in the middle of the day, you know, I'm out of the house, I'm working, which is very normal when you have a full time job. But I think when you talk about a woman’s power, there are women who are in the house and their job is to maintain the household, and I think their job is way harder than mine, and that they hold way more power than me. As a society, we measure success in many ways by monetary production, and that's why, someone in a more traditional profession is often viewed as more powerful, or someone to listen to. It's hard to be great at everything, and I’m not shooting to be a great mother and a great wife every day. I am content being a good mother and a good wife. I'm just doing what works for me and my family and that's just how I stay sane.
How do you define your success?
I define my success by my happiness.
If you could collaborate with someone of note or someone of note in your mind, who would it be?
Sarah Blakeley, the Spanx founder.
What do you believe deeply in?
I believe in family, I believe in hard work, I believe in creativity, I believe in authenticity, and I believe in health.
What's your happy place?
My happy place is probably right now. I'm REALLY enjoying Summer. I like Miami in this kind of low season. We're still crushing it from a sales point of view. But I also have the bandwidth to do more of the things that I like. I'm not sitting in traffic for an extra hour a day for no reason. It's just easier to move around. The town just feels really mellow and for the locals.
Do you ever compromise?
I compromise all the time.
Do you have a favorite quote?
"Wherever you go, there you are."
