WGW: The Biggest Padel Club, Fisher Island Mega Mansion, & Miami's Best Chinese
From Miami Beach’s new alcohol sales to Fontainebleau’s epic pool redesign, here’s what we're loving during summer lullin.
In this Issue of What’s Good Weekly: 8.12.25
Summer lullin…the season (ends October 1st) where Miami’s pulse slows, and the anxiety kicks in. Real estate deals stall, income streams feel tight, and the typical Miami mindset takes hold: It’s never coming back. You’ve heard it before, this city, in its rhythm, feels like it’s on the edge of a burnout. But here’s the truth: it’s just the summer lull.
Don’t panic. Miami's magic always returns. The season will pick up again. The energy will shift. So, stay the course, because this is the moment that sets the stage for everything that follows. Miami's seasons may be unpredictable, but the city’s drive? That’s a constant. Stay focused. Stay resilient. What’s Good is here to keep you grounded as we ride this wave together.

ULTRA Brings the Biggest Padel Club Ever to Midtown Miami
Midtown Miami is about to get the U.S.'s largest padel club, courtesy of ULTRA Padel, Rosso Development, and Midtown Development. The ULTRA Club Midtown promises 11 outdoor courts, 3 children’s courts, and a curated food and beverage experience, all tucked inside the sprawling $2 billion Midtown Park development (Is that bigger than Reserve at SoLeMia, not sure?). The buzz is undeniable, but here's the real question: Is there actually enough demand for padel to sustain these massive investments?
Sure, ULTRA’s project is impressive, but does the size and scale of this facility actually translate to long-term success?
At the end of the day, it’s not just about the number of courts you can fit into a 2-acre space. In an increasingly crowded market, brand and community will likely determine which projects stand the test of time. Will ULTRA's high-profile launch at Midtown Miami create lasting demand, or will it get lost in the shuffle of increasingly commoditized padel options?
Only time will tell. Bigger may not always mean better, and in a market like this, the brand with the right story could prove to be the real winner. We’ll be watching to see if ULTRA can create more than just a big, flashy padel club or if, in the end, it will be just a lot of courts without the loyalty to back it up.
